Description

The CD The Ljubljana Bog, the Secret World of Animal Vocalization, presents the sounds of 3 types of insects, 4 types of frogs, 82 types of birds and 1 type of mammal. The total length of the footage is 73′ 47”. CD is accompanied by a booklet with sixteen pages of commentary. The author of the recordings and text is Dr. Tomi Trilar, the covers were designed by Mia Asta, and the author of the photo of the reaper on the cover is Vesna Grobelnik. CD was published by the Slovenian Museum of Natural History.

CD comprehensively presents the fauna of the Ljubljana Bog, from widely distributed species to the inhabitants of extensively cultivated unfertilized marsh meadows, which are still preserved on the Ljubljana Marsh. It is intended for the promotion of the Ljubljana Marsh, as some of the most endangered species still nest on it, such as the grebe, great grebe, sloka, shrimp, shrike, replajščica, etc., and their habitats require protection as soon as possible.

CD is an excellent teaching aid, as it also presents widespread species that can be found all over Slovenia. The accompanying booklet guides you from recording to recording in the secrets of animal singing and advertising. You can listen to it in its entirety for relaxation or just individual recordings with the aim of learning and consolidating your knowledge of individual species.
