The book presents Scopoli’s life and work, it focuses especially on his descriptions of Carniolan nature. Therefore, it presents animals, plants and fungi from different habitats that lived in Carniola in Scopoli’s time and gives us a glimpse about Slovenian nature in the 18. century. The book contains photographs made by numerous nature photographers.
