Simon Robič (1824–1897) – A Passionate Naturalist from Carniola On display at the Domžale Library, 12 March – 2 April 2026.
Simon Robič was a Carniolan priest and naturalist who spent most of his life in Šenturška Gora. A dedicated observer of nature, he collected and studied a wide variety of plants, animals, and fossils.
This exhibition showcases Robič’s life and his contributions to natural history through captivating photographs and historical documents.
The exhibition was created to mark the 200th anniversary of Simon Robič’s birth and is presented at the Slovenian Museum of Natural History in November 2024, in collaboration with the Domžale Library and the Simon Robič Domžale Society for Cave Research.
